Items can be added to the following databases (names and availability may vary from site to site):

General Procedure

To Add an item

  • Login
  • Click the database link you want to add an item to
  • Click on the Add New button – normally found at the top and bottom of the current list of items.
  • Enter the information required
  • Click the Save for Approval button
  • The item will not "go live" until approved by the Site Editor or Administrator

To Edit an item

  • You can edit an item either before or after approval by clicking on the Edit button that appears on top of it on the database page or by clicking on the Edit an Item button in the My Content section of the Control Panel.
  • You can only edit an item's META data either before or after approval by clicking on the META button that appears on top of it on the database page. META data is used for indexing your data for Search Engines and the like.
  • You can delete an item either before or after approval by clicking on the Delete button that appears on top of it on the database page or by clicking on the Delete button on the editing Submission Form page. You will receive a confirmation request when you click the Delete button.

NOTE:
When you edit an item the update will not "go live" on the site until either the Site Editor or Administrator approves or re-approves it.
